Dirty by Megan Hart had my pillow wet most of the nights that I read it. I could really connect with Elle and how she never lets people (mostly men) “really in” to her life. She fears people getting too close, knowing too much about her and ultimately hurting her. She is tainted by her past of sadness, abuse, loss of love and a life at a young age and fears commitment beyond the occasional hookup. This is all until she meets a man that will soon challenge her, break down her walls and really show her that if love is right, real, and existing only on true feelings and a strong connection that she doesn’t have to fear a commitment with him.
I really hope you look into this book as I really enjoyed it. By reading Dirty by Megan Hart, I had a lot of self discovery that I had not originally planned and am so happy that I read it. Dirty affected me in so many ways, so many emotions and I can’t help but feel like I’ve grown more as a person from reading Dirty and getting to know the darkest parts of Elle’s soul.
Books are so amazing in so many ways and the feeling I love most is finishing a good book, being changed by that book and having a different perspective on life because of it.
